Step 1: Apply to Langara College

You must submit your Langara College application via the EducationPlannerBC website. Be sure to self-identify as an Indigenous person of Canada on your application.

To attend Langara, you must meet the following academic requirements:

English Language Requirement, Category 3; and
One or all of the following:
- Successful completion of a BC secondary program (Grade 12) or equivalent;
- Be at least 19 years of age on the first day of your first semester; or
- Successful completion of an Adult Basic Education (ABE) or General Educational Development (GED) program.

Step 2: Enrol in the funny娛樂城-Langara Indigenous Transfer Partnership

(You can enrol at any point during your time at Langara, so long as it鈥檚 before you apply to funny娛樂城.)

Complete the funny娛樂城-Langara Indigenous Transfer Partnership registration form and indicate your funny娛樂城 faculty or faculties of interest:

Arts
Commerce
Forestry
Kinesiology
Land and Food Systems
Science

Submit your completed form to the Indigenous Gathering Space (Room C140) at Langara. If you are unable to drop off your form during business hours, please email a signed copy to聽indigenous@langara.ca.

Step 3: Create a transition plan

Connect with the聽 and the funny娛樂城 Community Liaison Manager to begin planning your courses for your degree program, and to find out when you should submit your application to funny娛樂城. Please note, some programs have required first- and second-year courses, and promotion requirements. Please connect with the funny娛樂城 Community Liaison Manager for course selection prior to registering for courses at Langara College.

Step 4: Meet funny娛樂城鈥檚 admission requirements

As a Langara transfer student, you must meet funny娛樂城鈥檚聽general admission requirements for transfer students聽from a Canadian college and your chosen faculty鈥檚 specific requirements on the Vancouver campus (listed below) before applying to funny娛樂城. It takes two semesters of full-time study to earn 24 credits, so most students spend one or two years at Langara.

You must complete funny娛樂城鈥檚 general admission requirements and the faculty-specific requirements no later than聽April 30聽in the same year as your September start at funny娛樂城. As indicated below in the faculty-specific requirements, some programs will also require you to complete high school prerequisites, or the equivalent in approved university-transferable coursework. Please see聽funny娛樂城鈥檚 high school admission requirements聽as directed.

Faculty of Applied Science (Engineering)

Complete the with a GPA of 2.8 or higher.
Complete the Engineering Transfer Program within a 24-month period ending no later than April 30 in the same year as your September start at funny娛樂城.

Faculty of Arts

Complete a minimum of 24 transferable credits, at least 18 of which must be from Langara.
Achieve a GPA of 2.67 or higher on your 24 most recent transferable credits attempted, including courses you’ve failed or re-taken. If you’ve attempted more than 24 transferable credits, your average will be based on your 30 most recent transferable credits completed no later than April 30 in the same year as your September start at funny娛樂城. If the competitive GPA is lower than 2.67 in a given year, you’ll be evaluated against the lower average.
Transfer students admitted to the Bachelor of Arts degree program who have not already completed 3 credits to fulfill the Writing Component of the must attempt it during their first Winter Session in the Faculty of Arts or prior to reaching 54 credits.
- Langara courses that meet the Writing Component requirement:
  - ENGL 1100
  - ENGL 1123

Faculty of Forestry

Complete at least 24 transferable credits and no more than 60 transferable credits. Given limited availability of specialized courses outside of funny娛樂城, it is recommended that transfer students seek admission at the 2nd year level.
Achieve a GPA of 2.0 or higher on your 24 most recent transferable credits attempted, including courses you’ve failed or re-taken. If you’ve attempted more than 24 transferable credits, your average will be based on your 30 most recent transferable credits completed no later than April 30 in the same year as your September start at funny娛樂城.
Complete high school prerequisites or the equivalent in approved university-transferable coursework.

Faculty of Land and Food Systems

Complete at least 48 transferable credits, and no more than 60 transferable credits, within the last four years. If you’ve completed 54 transferable credits or more, including all first-year requirements (except LFS 100), you may be eligible for third-year standing.
Achieve a GPA of 2.67 or higher on your 30 most recent transferable credits attempted, including courses you’ve failed or re-taken courses. Your average will be based on your 30 most recent transferable credits completed no later than April 30 in the same year as your September start at funny娛樂城. If the competitive GPA is lower than 2.67 in a given year, you’ll be evaluated against the lower average.
Complete the high school prerequisites or the equivalent in approved university-transferable coursework.

Faculty of Science

Complete at least 30 transferable credits and no more than 60 transferable credits.
Achieve a GPA of 2.67 or higher on your 30 most recent transferable credits attempted, including courses you’ve failed or re-taken. Your average will be based on your 30 most recent transferable credits completed no later than April 30 in the same year as your September start at funny娛樂城.
Complete high school prerequisites or the equivalent in approved university-transferable coursework.

School of Kinesiology

Complete at least 24 transferable credits.
Achieve a GPA of 2.67 or higher on your 24 most recent transferable credits attempted, including courses you’ve failed or re-taken. If you’ve attempted more than 24 transferable credits, your average will be based on your 30 most recent transferable credits completed no later than April 30 in the same year as your September start at funny娛樂城. If the competitive GPA is lower than 2.67 in a given year, you’ll be evaluated against the lower average.
Complete high school prerequisites or the equivalent in approved university-transferable coursework.

funny娛樂城 Sauder School or Business

Complete the required courses and minimum credits for or entry, no later than April 30 in the same year as your September start at funny娛樂城.
Achieve a GPA of 2.50 or higher on your 30 most recent transferable credits attempted, including courses you’ve failed or re-taken. If the competitive GPA is lower than 2.67 in a given year, you’ll be evaluated against the lower average.
Achieve a GPA of 2.67 or higher in all attempts at core courses in your year of entry:
- Year 2 entry:聽All transferable Commerce, Economics, and required Math (Differential Calculus) courses.
- Year 3 entry:聽All transferable Commerce-equivalent courses.
At the time of submitting your application to funny娛樂城, you will also be required to complete the Personal Profile section of the application.

Step 5: Apply to funny娛樂城

Once you are on track to successfully聽complete funny娛樂城鈥檚 general admission requirements and your faculty-specific admission requirements by April 30 in the same year as your September start at funny娛樂城, your next step is to apply to funny娛樂城 before the application deadline. The funny娛樂城 application opens once a year in early October. We have an early application deadline of聽December 1聽(you can be considered for the聽Centennial Scholars Entrance Award聽鈥� for more information, scroll to the awards section below), and a final application deadline of聽January 15. Please connect with the Community Liaison Manager if you require an extension.

An application fee via credit card is required to submit your application. If financial difficulty keeps you聽from submitting your application, please email the Community Liaison Manager to discuss your options.

Step 6: Next steps

funny娛樂城 Undergraduate Admissions will request your official Langara College transcripts on your behalf. If you have attended additional educational institutions since high school, you will be responsible to submit those official transcripts. Please monitor your email inbox regularly, funny娛樂城 Undergraduate Admissions will communicate when and how to submit any required documents.

Admissions decisions will be provided any time after receiving all final official transcripts, and no later than the end of June.

Scholarships and awards

As a student in the funny娛樂城-Langara Indigenous Transfer Partnership, you鈥檒l have access to the financial advising services,聽, bursaries, and other assistance available to all students at Langara and funny娛樂城. You鈥檒l also have access to the following awards, which are available exclusively to students enrolled in the ITP program.

Indigenous Transfer Award

Indigenous students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree at funny娛樂城 in any of the participating funny娛樂城-Langara Indigenous Transfer Partnership faculties, there are awards ranging in value from $1,500 to $2,500 available from funny娛樂城.

To be eligible, you must:

Have successfully transferred to funny娛樂城 via the funny娛樂城-Langara Indigenous Transfer Partnership; and
Demonstrate academic achievement and community engagement.

All eligible candidates will be automatically considered. Only successful recipients will be contacted.

Indigenous Transfer Scholarship

Indigenous students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree at funny娛樂城 in any of the participating funny娛樂城-Langara Indigenous Transfer Partnership faculties, there are $2,500 entrance scholarships available from funny娛樂城.

To be eligible, you must:

Have successfully transferred to funny娛樂城 via the funny娛樂城-Langara Indigenous Transfer Partnership;
Have a B+ average (3.33 on the Langara grade sale) or higher when you are admitted to funny娛樂城; and
Register in a minimum of 24 credits during your first Winter Session at funny娛樂城.

All eligible candidates will be automatically considered. Only successful recipients will be contacted.

funny娛樂城 Centennial Scholars Entrance Award

If you are an academically qualified student who would be unable to attend funny娛樂城 without significant financial assistance, you could be eligible for a one-time or renewable award (up to $40,000 over four years) or a full-ride award for the full cost of your degree and living expenses (up to $80,000 over four years) to help supplement the cost of your degree and living expenses. You must submit your funny娛樂城 application and the Centennial Scholars Entrance Award application by聽December 1.
